Old dogs sometimes need things spelled out
It's awful hard to teach an old dog new tricks. My husband and son just couldn't remember which drawers to put their dirty clothes in, so I cut out some vinyl letters spelling it out for them. Now hopefully they will get their dirty clothes into the right drawers.(This is an IKEA Stuva cabinet,I have several versions of this brand and love them all!)The top doors of this cabinet holds cleaning supplies etc. the two smaller drawers hold my husband and my son's clean underwear and a pair of pajamas for when they are done in their shower. and the bottom three drawers hold their dirty farm clothes.
Another use for Vinyl
So my internet sometimes goes out for days and days on end and I get a little restless, I started collecting cow creamers in college when I saw an episode of Home Improvement and Tim Allen couldn't find a coffee cup so he drank his coffee out of the mouth of the cow creamer. I've never drank my coffee that way but I did buy some cute cow creamers.
So they have been sitting in my kitchen window looking kind of white and boring, I had some little scraps of red vinyl from another project, so I hand cut the "spots" and applied them on the cows.
I'm still undecided on how much I like it, but for now it's something fun, and with vinyl it's super easy to remove.
Mike's Hard Limeade Strawberry Drink
Okay so I am a "if it's not broke don't fit fix it" type of thinker, Or if someone else has come up with something and it's near perfect why should I try and re-produce it?
So I have been thinking on this for a while and finally had a chance to try it when my brother in law and sister in law were visiting for a nice summer afternoon on the deck.
I had about 2 cups of strawberries frozen, 1 bottle of Mike's HardLimeade, and one lime.
Cut two slices off the lime for garnish and then squeeze the rest of the juice. I pureed the strawberries, lime juice and Mike's in my blender. It was so yummy! It made about 4 drinks. Super Easy and super yummy and refreshing!
I can totally see doing this with other fruits and flavors of Mike's
So Easy even I could think of it Pickles
So the easiest pickles ever, Buy your favorite pickles, ours happen to be Claussen, the kind you find in the refrigerator section. Eat the pickles but save the juice, now just add your own cucumbers and let sit for a few hours, keep doing this for about a week, (any longer
and you may start getting contamination in your jar)
